Five new natural properties have been inscribed on the World Heritage List

Five new natural properties have been inscribed on the List at the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee in Phnom Penh.

  • Namib Sand Sea (Namibia)
  • Xinjiang Tianshan (China)
  • Tajik National Park (Mountains of the Pamirs) (Tajikistan)
  • Mount Etna (Italy)
  • El Pinacate and Gran Desierto de Altar Biosphere Reserve (Mexico)

The total number of natural properties now inscribed on the World Heritage List has reached 193.
