Magadansky Reserve nomination and Bikin River Valley Tentative List submission successfully passed through interdepartmental harmonization of documents07.05.2010 Magadansky Reserve nomination and Bikin River Valley Tentative List submission passed through procedure of interdepartmental harmonization of documents, which was established in January of present year, and going before the submission of documents to the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. Nomination and Tentative List submission, which were conformed with RF subdivisions (Magadan Region and Primorsky Kray) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, were submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and to the Ministry of Regional Development. This procedure was applied for the first time to evaluate the benefits and impairments, which would be the result of the inscription on the World Heritage List. Due to detailed study of documents, named government institutions approved Magadansky Reserve and Bikin River Valley documents for its nomination for World Heritage status. Bikin River Valley Tentative List submission would be submitted to the World Heritage Centre during May 2010 by the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. A priority issue of Magadansky Reserve and Lena Pillars nomination submission is under consideration presently. | |||||||||
