World Heritage Nomination files preparation

Preparation of nomination files for the natural sites nominated to the World Heritage List is one of the priority functions of the Fund. Since it was established the fund took part in the preparation of the following Russian and CIS World Natural Heritage nominations (the sites inscribed on to the List are marked with *):

Central Sikhote-Alin*

Uvs Nuur Basin*

Wrangel Island*

Putorana Plateau*

Magadansky Reserve

Daurian Steppes

Commander Islands

Great Watershed of Valdai

Kuril Islands

Green Belt of Fennoscandia

Lena Pillars

Tajik National Park

Volga Delta

Ilmensky Mountains

Bikin River Valley

The experts of the Fund also took part in the preparation of the Golden Mountains of Altai* and the Western Caucasus* nominations.

Now the Fund is assisting the preparation of the Daurian Steppes transnational (Russia, Mongolia, China), the Western Tien-Shan serial transnational (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan), the Issyk-Kul Hollow, the Great Vasyugan Mire, and the Green Belt of Fennoscandia transnational (Russia, Finland, Norway) nominations.
