World Heritage Nomination files preparation

Preparation of nomination files for the natural sites nominated to the World Heritage List is one of the priority functions of the Fund. Since it was established the fund took part in the preparation of the following Russian and CIS World Natural Heritage nominations (the sites inscribed on to the List are marked with *):

Central Sikhote-Alin*

Uvs Nuur Basin*

Wrangel Island*

Lena Pillars

Putorana Plateau

Magadansky Reserve

Daurian Steppes

Commander Islands

Volga Delta

Great Watershed of Valdai

Kuril Islands

Green Belt of Fennoscandia

Tajik National Park

The experts of the Fund also took part in the preparation of the Golden Mountains of Altai* and the Western Caucasus* nominations.

Now the Fund is assisting in the preparation of the Ilmensky Mountains, the Issyk-Kul Hollow, the Bikin River Valley, the Great Vasyugan Mire, the Daurian Steppes transboundary (Russia, Mongolia, China), the Green Belt of Fennoscandia transboundary (Russia, Finland, Norway) and the Western Tien-Shan serial transboundary (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan) nomination.
